Kyle Gibson’s Fantasy Impact Charity Challenge
Minnesota Twins pitcher Kyle Gibson hosts Big League Impact and Yahoo Sports’ Fantasy Impact Charity Challenge during the NFL’s Week 10.
Between now and when the first NFL games begin on Sunday November 11 at 1:00pm ET, you can enter the contest to win autographed baseballs and an autographed Kyle Gibson spring training jersey. 100% of the contest entry fees will go directly to Gibson’s campaign to feed 100 families in the South St. Louis, MO area in partnership with the organization Crisis Aid.
Gibson and his wife Elizabeth—who grew up in the St. Louis area—hosted a charity sporting clay shoot event this past week to kick off the campaign, which will feed the children of families living below the poverty line. In partnership with Yahoo Fantasy Sports, all of the funds raised from this week’s contest will be donated to it.
“Food and education are two things that go hand in hand in helping to lift people out of poverty,” Gibson said. “If a student has the ability to go to school but can’t focus because they’re so hungry, education itself isn’t a guarantee. If we’re able to help give a little bit of stability at home and around their diet so their biggest worry isn’t where their next meal comes from, that’s where we want to help. Crisis Aid is an incredible organization that’s doing really great work, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to help provide families and kids who really need it.”
The deadline for entries is 1:00pm ET on Sunday, November 11. To donate directly to Gibson’s campaign without entering the contest, you can do that here.
